Creature Reveal: Fenrir

Mythos:

Fenrir was one of the first creatures created by the early splicing guilds of Earth. Splicers took earth humans' most faithful companion, Canis Lupus Familiaris as a genetic base. During Splicing, the creature began to embody less of the companion earth humans knew and more of a canine of Norse Mythology. The Great Devourer of Sun and Moon, Fenrir.

Early prototypes were wild and ferocious, Biomancers lost a few limbs and lives before additional splices curtailed Fenrir's viciousness. Later as EOS (Extraordinary Skills) technology was better understood Fenrir was engineered to manipulate and store Electrical currents in its body. Fenrir can unleash this electricity to become a force of nature, an embodiment of lightning. Fenrir's deadliness does not end at lighting. Under the right environmental conditions, Fenrir can form and control ice, peppering a target with frost and hail. By the time splicing ended, Fenrir became known to Biomancers as a tame, loyal companion with a flexible skillset that could adapt to almost any need. Fenrir quickly became the ideal creature for beginner Biomancers and is one of the most popular creatures still used in battle to this day.

Stats:

Fenrir is a well-rounded stalker class creature with no great weaknesses or strengths. Keen sense honed from inherited traits passed from generations of tracking and hunting makes Fenrir a precise and deadly creature. Fenrir makes up for a lack of strength with consistent and focussed attacks on an opponent's critical weak points. Fenrir's training gains in Strength and Intellect are equal, Biomancers are free to decide how they would like their Fenrir to perform during combat.

The choice between a shockingly intelligent and chillingly precise creature or an overwhelming brute of fur and fangs is up to Biomancer training. Will you focus on one offensive stat or train both to create a hybrid attacker?

Abilities:

Possessing a large pool of abilities, Fenrir's are one of the GBF's most versatile combatants. Intelligence-based lightning shocks, chilling frost attacks to slow enemies, and the strength of maw and claw are all part of Fenrir's kit. This breadth of ability ensures that, with proper training, a Fenrir is ready for anything the arena may throw at them.

Traits:

Fenrir has a generous assortment of valuable traits making him ideal as a starting base for future splicing experiments. Fenrir's Traits can help tame more wild breeds or help inaccurate creatures become more precise by improving their senses.

  • Tame - Daily Obedience fluctuations are reduced.

  • Loyal - Reacts to being scolded more positively.

  • Insulating Fur - Increased resistance to Frost Damage during combat

  • High Metabolism - While training more calories are burned and used.

  • Quick Learner - Increased combat exp gained.

  • Static Field - The enemy’s Electric Damage resistance is reduced during combat.

  • Determined - Increase per turn focus generation in combat.

  • Keen Senses - Increased Precision gains during training.
